Periodontal Therapy / Gum Treatment

Periodontal disease can be diagnosed by a simple visit in our clinic and an x-ray.

Common symptoms of an advance stage disease include bleeding while brushing and bad breath, but periodontal disease can also be painless and without symptoms.

The first stage is gingivitis or infection of the gum. The infection causes the gum to pull away from the tooth, leaving a gap. These gaps are called pockets where the bacteria moves in and destroys the bone, setting your teeth loose. Eventually the teeth fall out or need to be extracted.

Treatment may include scaling, deep cleaning and antibacterial therapy (Arrestin).
